Midstate family,

It is with mixed emotions that I am announcing today that I have accepted a new position within the Decatur Park District as the Manager of the Decatur Indoor Sports Center. A search for the new Director of the Midstate Soccer Club will start immediately.

Since starting this role in January 2011, I have enjoyed a career which has allowed me to connect with so many members of the community while growing & developing the game. The players, coaches & families I have been privileged to coach, meet & work with have been a major factor in how much I have LOVED my job. You all truly have been my family. The memories I will take with me are ENDLESS & I cannot begin to highlight all of them.

Although I will be taking a new role within the Decatur Park District, I will still have a close working relationship with the new club director in a supervisory role. This means that I will still have a vested interest in the Midstate program. I will be involved in the hiring process for our new director and I am ready to help usher in a fresh era for the club while stepping into a more “traditional” position with normalized hours and a bit of a home life too! I aim to make the transition as smooth as possible for us all.

Thank you, from the bottom of my heart for a truly privileged position to impact the young lives in this community & beyond. The passion we share for the beautiful game will continue beyond this role, and while I will miss seeing many of you on a regular basis, I still plan to be involved with coaching a Midstate team so will still see some of you when coaching!
